I. Initial Visit to our Office and New Home Design Center

Upon visiting Tomorrow’s Homes Office and Design Center, you will meet with Gib, the builder, himself. He will talk with you about your home needs and wants. You will discuss whether you have land or if land needs to be found. If you have property, a site evaluation may be scheduled. You will also be asked about financing. Do you plan to mortgage the home, pay cash or a combination of the two? We will then tailor a program and a home to meet your needs. You’ll be shown floor plans and photos of homes to narrow down what designs appeal to you. We can help you modify or redesign your floor plan if necessary. You will be guided through the entire home building process from start to finish.

II. Financing For Your New Home

If you are going to be mortgaging the home, We will help you through the mortgage process. Plans and specifications will need to be submitted to the lender along with your loan application. We will help you pull together all the necessary documents and work with you up to loan closing. If you prefer, you may choose to arrange your own financing, or may have a specific lender in mind. We'll work with you there, too. Click here to check your credit report.

III. Choose New Home Options and Colors

While the lending application is being processed, you will make your color selections. The site evaluation will determine if you need well, septic, city water and/or other site work.

IV. Loan Closing On Your New Home

Once your loan is closed, a pre-construction meeting will be scheduled with LaVonne and Brad, our Construction Manager. They will review the plans and specifications with you. More detailed decisions will be reviewed at this point: location of phone/cable outlets, etc. You will be given an outline of the construction process so you will be able to follow along with the stages of building. They'll explain the jobs they do in the building process... obtaining permits, preparing and distributing work orders, scheduling. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in building a home. Sometimes it may look like nothing is being done when, in fact, planning and scheduling are part of the process. Many trades will be working on your home and periodic inspections will be made by Tomorrow’s Homes and by the local building inspectors. We will handle all of the contracting, payment and oversight of virtually any work that needs to be done.

V. Move Into Your New Home!

After all work is completed on your home and the home is ready to be occupied, the local building inspectors make a final inspection. A Certificate of Occupancy is issued by the county where the house is built permitting you to move into your new home. We will provide you with a Homeowner Manual containing many useful tips and instructions on how to maintain your home for decades to come. While we strive to build a defect-free home, we are realistic enough to know that we may make mistakes or that something in the home may not perform as intended. When either occurs, we will make necessary corrections. In support of this commitment, Tomorrow’s Homes provides you with a limited warranty.
